Job Openings for Economists (JOE) Submit a Listing (Employer Access) Recent JOE Listings: Tools: |
|||||||||||||||||
About JOEJOE is a service of the American Economic Association.
The American Economic Association does not endorse any form of discrimination in hiring economists. Listings may encourage or welcome applications from either: (a) identifiable underrepresented groups, or (b) identifiable groups for which the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other applicable laws permit preferences in hiring. However, listings may not include language that indicates discriminatory preferences in hiring. Employers who submit listings to JOE that welcome or encourage applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, sexual preference, or physical handicap must certify or have a certification on file at the American Economic Association specifying that the language in the listing is in compliance with relevant U.S. laws, orders, and regulations concerning equal opportunity and affirmative action. Click here for certification form.
Foreign universities are not subject to U.S. laws and regulations concerning
equal opportunity employment. Some of their hiring procedures and employment
practices may vary from those in the United States. | ||||||||||||||||||
